Lev Borodulin is the famous Soviet photographer. He began his career in the "Ogonyok" magazine as an assistant of Dm.Baltermantz. He has chosen the sport photo art knowing the good rule: you are far from politics - you have more freedom. All the pictures in the main illustrated magazine of the USSR served as an evidence of the Soviet Union's advantages. Borodulin created really wonderful art works taking photos of the parades, sport tournaments, etc. It can be said he is a pioneer of the glossy photo in Russia. One of the photos of the "Soviet formalist" was in the White House, in Bill Klinton's office while he was the President of the USA. So, at this exhibition one can be assured that
the Soviet leaders had the unique sense destroying the talented
careers only. The works of "Soviet formalists" now are
the rarities of the famous auctions, the dream of many art collectors.
