How many people in Russia are interested in photo art and use
old cameras of "Zenith", "FED", "Smena",
foreign primitive models? One million or maybe ten million people?
Most part of the films shot are saved in family archives but
some photos that made with Kodak machines in the studios of
supermarkets and village photo laboratories are really works
of art . They could be sold for good price. We all could know
about the places where photo artists can get payment for their
job…
The world photo market started to develop more than 20 years
ago in connection with photo fashion. Telling about the market
we mean the stable economical facility but not accidental purchasing
and some collectors. Now serious sums of money are engaged in
this sphere of art business.
The very bright example: last year the photo of the beginning
XX century made by Man Ray was purchased by Pompidou Center
for US $ 1 000 000.

My favorite author is Lev Borodulin, photographer of the "Ogonyok
" magazine in 1950-1960s years, the most famous Russian
photo master of those who live now. This years he is 85 years
old. He was working with Baltermantz, they had the same laboratory,
and all that influenced Borodulin's experience. Many of his
works are now part of culture (such as "The Parade",
1956). Its auction price is US $1500 - 3000. For the highest
prices it had been sold by Bill Clinton for The White House.
